consistency is key
CONSISTENCY IS KEY
Training for a goal (race) is all about being consistent, week in and week out. That is why staying healthy is paramount. Sometimes this means resting for a few days or adjusting your plan. Together we will make sure you stay on track and are as prepared as possible for the day of the race.
You don’t become a runner by winning a morning workout. The only true way is to marshal the ferocity of your ambition over the course of many day, weeks, months, and (if you could finally come to accept it) years. The Trial of Miles; Miles of Trials. – John L. Parker Jr., Once a Runner
Part of the premium programs is that you keep a logbook in which you write about the sessions you did during the week, how the recovery felt, etc. I review that and provide feedback and insights so that you have the best preparation!
Training Programs
Training Programs
There are two variants. The main difference is my involvement, both programs are personalized. You decide how much you want me to be involved.
With the basic package you get a training program that is tailored to your specific goals, needs and lifestyle.
In addition to a personalized schedule, the premium package offers you weekly feedback, the option to ask questions and adjust the schedule.

EXPERIENCES
I recently completed an 8-week marathon training program designed by Cristiaen which was tailored to my personal running times. Cristiaen's expertise in marathon training was evident in the structure and variety of the workouts provided on Training Peaks. Each session was well thought out and structured to enhance my endurance and speed, whilst progressively building up distance to avoid stress injuries. Having my program on the Training Peaks app made the process straightforward, enabled me to see Cristiaen's detailed breakdowns, sync workouts directly to my watch and allowed me to access and follow my plan from anywhere.

Cristiaen's training plan was comprehensive and self-explanatory, providing me with the key building blocks to train most effectively. This setup worked well for me, as it fit into my schedule and let me manage my training times independently. For anyone looking for a well-structured, personalized marathon training program, I can only recommend Cristiaen. His program helped improve my performance significantly, gearing me up for the marathon with greater confidence and fitness.

With the help of Cristiaen's schedules, I ran the Rotterdam marathon twice. His schedules are well structured and offer enough variation so that training does not become boring. He took into account the fact that I cannot train every weekend due to my work. During training, he provided insight into your target pace and whether that is feasible or whether you have underestimated yourself (in my case). I will definitely contact him again for my next marathon!

I would definitely recommend Cris as a coach!
The entire process felt coordinated: from planning the schedule to the interim guidance. Cris remained available to provide support throughout the entire process. I felt invited to explore my limits. But with the mental aspect as the most important direction: motivation, meaning and fun in running. Super important as far as I'm concerned! The result was the two best races I have ever run: and I knocked 13 minutes off my PR for the Copenhagen Marathon.

Cris was key in running towards my marathon PB in Berlin. Having a tailor made schedule based on my level and my needs gave me the structure that kept me accountable.

When the unexpected happen (expect that!), Cris was the first to go over the schedule and tweak it so I toed the start line healthy and fit. But what has proven even more valuable, is that Cris was there along the line to check in with me, both psychically and mentally. The latter is my Achilles heel, and Cris made sure I was in the right mindset for every training block and the race. He provides free book and podcast tips along the way, and has shown me how a runner’s body can’t do without a sane mind.
